When the doors of Athens Country Club open that Thursday night at 6:00 pm, guests will be treated to fabulous cocktails and delicious hors d' oeuvres. Gaming tables will open, complete with poker, black jack, roulette and craps. A silent auction featuring items such as jewelry, and artwork, also gets underway, offering participants a chance to mix, mingle and make sure they place the best bid!
At 7:00 pm, it's post time to place bets for one of four simulated derby-style horse races. This new element to the popular Hope Haven annual event is sure to create excitement for all guests, while supporting one of Athens' worthiest causes.
