Prior to partnering an employer with an employee, Hope Haven assesses the employee's needs, abilities and talents and helps them find a work setting that is mutually beneficial.

Each potential employee receives support from a Hope Haven job coach who trains them appropriately for the job.

As the employee adjusts to the work setting, the coach gradually reduces the time spent with the individual so that pride in independent workmanship can occur.

Hope Haven's staff maintains contact with the individual for the duration of employment, encouraging a high level of job performance.

  • Employment for individuals who have experienced interrupted or intermittent employment as a result of their disability
  • Jobs in the community that offer 80 hours or more per month in an integrated work setting
  • Support to perform work productively
  • Long-term and intensive direct or indirect job related support including supervision, adaptive equipment, transportation assistance, peer support and personal care
  • A Hope Haven staff member serving as a job coach to assist with training and support
